JAMES BOND - Quantum of Solace Trailer !
Gotta get this one out. Courtesy of Moviefone. The official teaser trailer for the next James bond film, Quantum of Solace. Quantum of Solace is a James Bond short story by Ian Fleming and a part of the For Your Eyes Only collection.

What does this title mean anyway ? Let’s see:
Quantum:
–adjective 6. sudden and significant: a quantum increase in productivity.
Solace:
4. to alleviate or relieve (sorrow, distress, etc.).
So we know James is not a happy man after losing Vespa in Casino Royale, so I’m thinking this is a story about revenge. Slashfilm points to a USA Today article (I’ll paraphrase):
Quantum of Solace picks up where Casino Royale ended, with Bond working his way up the chain of command of the terrorists who blackmailed his lover, Vesper Lynd. Quantum of Solace comes from a short story by 007 author Ian Fleming, and it’s not a spy story but a tale told to Bond about another couple’s tragic romance. The short story has nothing else to do with the movie…

I’ve been seeing this around the web recently via Variety, NY Times and several blogs and thought I’d shout it out on my side of the blogosphere. Any Spielberg news is worthy of a quick post.
DreamWorks secured rights to “The 39 Clues,” an adventure series being launched in the fall by Scholastic Media. Steven Spielberg is eyeing the project as a directing vehicle. Scholastic Media is the the U.S. publisher of the Harry Potter series. “The’ 39 Clues” series will feature 10 books with related Web-based games, collectors’ cards and cash prizes.

I absolutely love Rob Zombie. House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects were some of the cooler films to come out in recent memory and completely inspire me. This dude is a true Auteur even if he did fall flat with the Halloween remake, but when touching Carpenter’s masterpiece, what could we expect ?
This is the ONE SHEET TEASER for his next film, currently in production and slated for a 2009 release. I haven’t a clue to what it’s about, but it looks killer.
